What's Confirmed Before Every Transfer
Before a prospect is warmly transferred to you, our team verifies the following so you can jump straight into a productive conversation:
Billing & Non-Billable Guidelines
A quick breakdown of what counts as billable and what doesn't.
What Makes a Call Billable
Avoid these to keep calls from being counted against you.
Dropping a call without a valid reason — all calls must be handled professionally.
Providing a quote or price range to any prospect — even if the call is dropped within the buffer period.
Dropping a call because the prospect had a stroke — stroke is NOT a valid drop reason; most Final Expense carriers cover these prospects.
Asking upfront if they have time to talk when the prospect has not raised any concern about availability. You CAN say 10–15 minutes if the prospect brings it up.
Asking commitment or pressure questions during the buffer such as buying/paying today, bank account or Social Security numbers, driver's license, or "pen and paper handy?" Keep the buffer to interest, age, banking status, and major health conditions — save commitment and sensitive details for the presentation.
Acceptable Drop Reasons
If any apply within the buffer period, drop the call — it won't be billed.
The prospect clearly states they are not interested in learning about any insurance options.
The prospect does not have an active bank account (checking or savings).
The prospect has a major health condition that disqualifies them, and you do not offer a guaranteed issue plan.
